Building on Business Improvement Training Success in 2012

Building on Business Improvement Training Success - Smiley Monroe announce 'Business Improvement Techniques' Training for 2012.

Back in August we reported that two groups of ten employees from Smiley Monroe completed the NVQ Level 2 'Business Improvement Techniques' (BIT) Programme at Southern Regional College (SRC). The candidates came from a range of disciplines within the company - including sales, service, operations, production, scheduling, materials handling, quality and health & safety.

Congratulations to all the candidates (pictured) who have each now received their certificates - ETCAL Level 2 NVQ (National Vocational Qualification) - awarded by the Engineering Training Council.

The next BIT training program kicks off in february, when for the first time, 2 of our employees will be tackling NVQ Level 3.

Focus on Continuous Improvement

Declan McGrady, Smiley Monroe's Operations Manager, commenting on completion of the this training program in August:

"Post downturn, the BIT course has kept the focus on Continuous Improvement at all levels within the company. It has facilitated the development of our valued team members, whilst helping them to realise their potential and benefit the company. SRC's highly qualified trainers have provided the appropriate amount of teaching, guidance and support to help plan and implement improvement projects - resulting in real cost savings for Smiley Monroe."
